1 They compassed me on every side, and
there was no one that would help me. I looked for the succour
of men, and there was none.
2 I
remembered thy mercy, O Lord, and thy works, which are from the beginning of
the world.
3 How thou
deliverest them that wait for thee, O Lord, and savest them out of the hands of the nations.
4 Thou
hast exalted my dwelling place upon the earth and I have prayed for death to
pass away.
5 I called
upon the Lord, the father of my Lord, that he would not leave me in the day
of my trouble, and in the time of the proud without help.
6 I will
praise thy name continually, and will praise it with thanksgiving, and my
prayer was heard.
7 And thou
hast saved me from destruction, and hast delivered me from the evil time.
8 Therefore
I will give thanks, and praise thee, and bless the name of the Lord.
9 When I
was yet young, before I wandered about, I sought for wisdom openly in my prayer.
10 I prayed
for her before the temple, and unto the very end I will seek after her, and
she flourished as a grape soon ripe.
11 My heart
delighted in her, my foot walked in the right way, from my youth up I sought
after her.
12 I bowed
down my ear a little, and received her.
13 I found
much wisdom in myself, and I profited much therein.
14 To him
that giveth me wisdom, will I give glory.
15 For I
have determined to follow her: I have had a zeal for good, and shall not be
confounded.
16 My soul
hath wrestled for her, and in doing it I have been confirmed.
17 I
stretched forth my hands on high, and I bewailed my ignorance of her.
18 I
directed my soul to her, and in knowledge I found her.
19 I
possessed my heart with her from the beginning: therefore I shall not be
forsaken.
20 My
entrails were troubled in seeking her: therefore shall I possess a good
possession.
21 The Lord
hath given me a tongue for my reward: and with it I will praise him.
22 Draw
near to me, ye unlearned, and gather yourselves together into the house of
discipline.
23 Why are
ye slow? and what do you say of these things? your souls are exceeding thirsty.
24 I have
opened my mouth, and have spoken: buy her for yourselves without silver,
25 And
submit your neck to the yoke, and let your soul receive discipline: for she
is near at hand to be found.
26 Behold
with your eyes how I have laboured a little, and
have found much rest to myself.
27 Receive
ye discipline as a great sum of money, and possess abundance of gold by her.
28 Let your
soul rejoice in his mercy, and you shall not be confounded in his praise.
29 Work
your work before the time, and he will give you your reward in his time.

1- صلاة يشوع بن سيراخ اعترف لك
ايها الرب الملك و اسبح الله مخلصي.
2- اعترف لاسمك لانك كنت لي مجيرا و نصيرا.
3- و افتديت جسدي من الهلاك و من شرك سعاية
اللسان و من شفاه مختلقي الزور و كنت لي ناصرا تجاه المقاومين.
4- و افتديتني برحمتك الغزيرة و اسمك من زئير
المستعدين للافتراس.
5- من ايدي طالبي نفسي و من
مضايقي الكثيرة.
6- من الاختناق باللهيب المحيط بي و من وسط
النار حتى لا اصلى.
7- من عمق جوف الجحيم و من اللسان الدنس و
كلام الزور و سعاية اللسان الجائر عند الملك.
8- دنت نفسي من الموت.
9- و اقتربت حياتي من عمق الجحيم.
10- احيط بي من كل جهة و لا نصير التفت لاغاثة
الناس فلم تكن.
11- فتذكرت رحمتك ايها الرب و صنيعك الذي منذ
الدهر.
12- كيف تنقذ الذين ينتظرونك و تخلصهم من ايدي
الامم.
13- فرفعت من الارض صلاتي و تضرعت
لانقذ من الموت.
14- دعوت الرب ابا ربي لئلا
يخذلني في ايام الضيق في عهد المتكبرين الخاذلين لي.
15- اني اسبح اسمك في كل حين و
ارنم له بالاعتراف لان صلاتي قد استجيبت.
16- فانك قد خلصتني من الهلكة و انقذتني من
زمان السوء.
17- فلذلك اعترف لك و اسبحك و ابارك اسم الرب.
18- في صبائي قبل ان اتيه التمست الحكمة
علانية في صلاتي.
19- امام الهيكل ابتهلت لاجلها و الى اواخري
التمسها فازهرت كباكورة العنب.
20- ابتهج بها قلبي و درجت قدمي في الاستقامة
و منذ صبائي جددت في اثرها.
21- املت اذني قليلا و وعيت.
22- فوجدت لنفسي تاديبا كثيرا و كان لي فيها
نجح عظيم.
23- ان الذي اتاني حكمة اوتيه تمجيدا.
24- فاني عزمت ان اعمل بها و قد حرصت على
الخير و لست اخزى.
25- جاهدت نفسي لاجلها و في اعمالي لم ابرح
متنطسا.
26- مددت يدي الى العلاء و بكيت على جهالاتي.
27- وجهت نفسي اليها و بالطهارة وجدتها.
28- بها ملكت قلبي من البدء فلذلك لا اخذل.
29- و جوفي اضطرب في طلبها فلذلك اقتنيت قنية
صالحة.
30- اعطاني الرب اللسان جزاء فبه اسبحه.
31- ادنوا مني ايها الغير المتادبين و امكثوا
في منزل التاديب.
32- لماذا تتقاعدون عن هذه و نفوسكم ظامئة
جدا.
33- اني فتحت فمي و تكلمت دونكم كسبا بلا فضة.
34- اخضعوا رقابكم تحت النير و لتتخذ نفوسكم
التاديب فان وجدانه قريب.
35- انظروا باعينكم كيف تعبت قليلا فوجدت
لنفسي راحة كثيرة.
36- نالوا التاديب كمقدار كثير من الفضة و
اكتسبوا به ذهبا كثيرا.
37- تبتهج نفوسكم برحمته و لا تخزوا بمدحته.
38- اعملوا عملكم قبل الاوان فيؤتيكم ثوابكم
